Shipping Vehicles and Motorcycles

Hawaii
We ship out of Long Beach, Oakland, and Seattle and deliver to the major ports on the four main islands.  We ship cars to HIlo port on the big island of Hawaii and not to Kona.  Port to port auto shipment is $1,100.00 per vehicle.  This is an all inclusive quote so we would literally invoice you for $1,100.00. Motorcycles to Hawai is around $900.00, port to port.  If you need your motorcycle skidded or crated, let us know and we can quote you accordingly.

Alaska
Car shipments to Alaska varies depending on the size of your vehicle and also the final destination. The cost to ship to Anchorage from Seattle is $1,460.00 for small to medium sized cars and $1,960.00 for trucks and SUVs.  We also ship to other parts of Alaska.  Please let us know if you require a car quote other than Anchorage.

Puerto Rico
We ship cars out of Jacksonville, Florida to San Juan.  The cost is $1,465.00 from Jacksonville to San Juan. Please keep in mind that this quote does not include the excise tax fee imposed by the port in San Juan.  If you want an estimate on the excise tax, let us know by sending us your year, make, model of your vehicle or your VIN number and we can get an estimate for you.

Worldwide
Please ask for a custom quote.  Countries like Australia require a pre-approval form called a DOTAR before the vehicle can even set sail.  Please do not ship your vehicles without permission less you will incur heavy fines and possible jail time.

If you need to have your vehicle or motorcycle picked up from your residence and taken to port, please let us know and we can provide a quote for you.  Please anticipate trucking fees.

LIABILITY DISCLAIMER: If you are having your automobile trucked to port, Premier Van Lines Intl. and the auto transportation company cannot be responsible for any minor paint chips or windshield cracks due to loose rocks/pebbles on the highway. If you are concerned about your automobile's exterior, there are a couple different options. You can purchase a car cover. Or, you can request an enclosed truck trailer. Keep in mind that the availability, transit time, and price for an enclosed truck trailer to pick up your vehicle may vary significantly from your originally quoted price and transit time. We appreciate your understanding of this matter.

How to Prepare Your Car for Shipment

The following important information will help you prepare and avoid unnecessary delays:

Vehicles must be in operating condition when shipping abroad, with a working emergency brake, and must either be licensed or qualified to be licensed for operation on public streets or highways.  We will not accept cars if these standards are not met.

All vehicles must have a clean exterior so that a vehicle inspection may be performed at the port. Dirty vehicles will not be accepted.  Clean cars are necessary because we want to be able to take note of if any preexisting damages on your vehicles.  The ocean carrier cannot ship vehicles with cracked or damaged windshields or windows and must be fixed prior to shipment.

All personal belongings must be removed.  No exception.  The only items acceptable for shipment in your automobile are those tools and accessories normally attached to the vehicle, or permanently installed in the dash, doors, rear deck, or console. If it is not bolted in, you must remove it from your vehicle.  You can choose to leave the car alarm in your vehicle, make sure that the system is disengaged prior to shipment.  Fire extinguishers can not be left in the vehicle and must be removed. You will need to have your registration and car information in the glove compartment.

Vehicles with propane tanks for auxillary uses must be delivered for shipment with the propane tanks empty of any liquid or fumes. The empty tank must be tagged and certified as "gas free" by an authorized propane dealer or service company. We recommend that you verify the cost of emptying and certifying propane tanks. It may be less costly to purchase a new tank at your destination.

Please deliver your vehicle to port with 1/4 tank or less fuel.  The port personnel will receive and inspect your vehicle and make sure your vehicle is ready to go to its destination. If you are shipping a vehicle powered by an alternative fuel -propane, electric, natural gas, etc., do let us know and we can make the necessary arrangements.

Automobiles shipped between Seattle and Hawaii, especially during the fall and winter months, should be delivered to port with antifreeze. We are not responsible for providing this protection nor liable for damage resulting from low temperatures.  Vehicle shipments to Alaska, Canada and any areas with freezing weather must be "winterized".  Please contact us for more information.
